The office became a campus, the campus a sealed world. You can spend a career without leaving the circle. Tech promises connection and delivers a ring. If you have ever been proud of a workplace that also isolated you, this is the plan of that pride.
The original
Steve Jobs commissioned Norman Foster for a circular headquarters in Cupertino, opened 2017. Four storeys, a kilometre of glass, an orchard in the centre, one of the largest custom glass installations ever attempted. A company as a landscape.
The rebuild · The sealed ring
We rebuilt Apple Park as a spaceship that never leaves earth — a perfect circle of light over a dark orchard. Tech here is the desire to control the climate, the view, and the story of work.

The orchard no one owns
In the middle of the ring, trees. They are real. They are also a brand. The rebuild keeps the orchard and the glass, and lets you feel the particular loneliness of a garden you can see from every desk and still not enter on your own terms.

Glass as a policy
Transparency is a word companies love. The building makes it literal until it becomes a kind of surveillance you volunteered for. You can be seen being excellent. That was the point.

A campus with one door
The circle is complete. Completeness is a kind of trap. The rebuild leaves a single break in the ring — not as a fire exit, as a reminder that work is not a planet.
