Raised for the pharaoh Khufu around 2560 BCE. For nearly four thousand years it was the tallest thing humans had made. A tomb engineered as a mountain — alignment, chambers, a precision that still unsettles. The casing stone is mostly gone. The fear that built it is not.
The rebuild · A mountain against vanishing
We rebuilt the pyramid as a mass that tries, and fails, to outrun death. One thin climb of light up a single face. The desert does not notice. Fear here is scale used as a prayer.

The name that would not be enough
A cartouche on papyrus can burn. A mountain is harder. That is the logic, and it is still our logic: the career, the archive, the child named after us, the profile that must be fed. The rebuild does not mock this. It shows how large the hunger has to be before it looks like architecture.

Death still climbed
Khufu is a name in a textbook. The body is gone. The mountain remains, which is a kind of victory and a kind of joke. Fear of vanishing cannot be solved by mass. It can only be made visible, so you can decide how much of your life you are willing to spend on the climb.

Stand at the base
From the foot of the rebuild, the stars are louder than the stone. That is the quiet the pyramid was trying to drown. You do not have to become a mountain. You have to become someone who can look at the night without bargaining.
